CAPE TOWN & GARDEN ROUTE

DAY 1.
Collect from airport and transfer to hotel of choice for 4 nights on B&B basis

DAYS 2, 3 & 4
Same as for Southern Highlights and SA Adventure Tour.

	DAY 5. Depart for the Garden Route.  We drive via the Breede River Valley, where we stop for wine tasting en-route, lunch for own account in area. We drive via the Kogman'skloof Pass into the Klein Karoo, through more magnificent passes in this fertile valley. We overnight at a Guest House in Calitzdorp on a D,B&B basis. (400km/282ml) B,D

DAY 6 We depart for Oudtshoorn for the day, where we visit the Wildlife Ranch, where we see The Good, The Bad and the Ugly. We have lunch and a tour at an Ostrich farm and find out more about these fascinating flightless birds. Later in the afternoon we drive over the Outeniqua Pass to the coastal area of the Garden route. We continue to Knysna for overnight on B&B basis for 2 nights in a 4 star hotel.  Evening at leisure. (210km/130ml) B,L

	DAY 7. We visit the  different animal encounters today with a stop at the Birds of Eden - the largest enclosed free flying aviary in the world. Later we visit the small cats sanctuary - Tenikwa - where you encounter the small cats that are rarely seen by anyone. Return to hotel in the late afternoon. Lunch in area for own account. Rest of day at leisure. (140km/90ml) B.

	DAY 8 We take an eco cruise on the Keurbooms river . Lunch in area for own account . Later we overnight for 2 nights at a small private game reserve in the Plettenberg Bay area on a D,B&B basis. Game drive in the afternoon with dinner in the boma. (80km/50ml) B,D.

	DAY 9. At reserve relaxing at game reserve, take a short hike into the forest on reserve. B,D.

DAY 10 We first stop off for the very special encounter  and feed the Gentle Giants of Africa. We then drive to Mossel Bay, where the first Portuguese Navigator Dias landed in 1488 and visit the museum which houses the replica caravel boat from the 500 year re-enactment of this famous voyage. Lunch in area for own account. We overnight in area for 2 nights on B&B basis.Evening at leisure. (115km/72ml) B

DAY 11 After breakfast we "Meet the People" tour in the morning. This is a different concept to a township tour, this is a tour where the people you meet show you their pride rather than their poverty and it is not a guilt ridden experience that you find in a standard township type tour, a very happy experience. I have done it often! Relax in afternoon enjoy the sea views from the hotel room's balcony. Evening at leisure. B

DAY 12

After a leisurely breakfast or even later, in the day, we head out to the Aloe factory, where we can find out more about this plant and its healing properties, used by Indigenous people many years ago. We head to the  Farm experience We overnight on a Guest Farm in the Heidelberg district on a D,B&B basis. 250km/160ml B,D.

DAY 13

After our farm tour, if farmer not harvesting, we continue through the old town of Swellendam with its wonderful history and architecture. Stop for a Berry Liquor tasting in area. Lunch en-route for own account. Return to Cape Town over Sir Lowry's pass, returning to same option hotel for one night on B&B basis. Evening at leisure to explore V&A waterfront. 297km/185ml B

DAY 14 Check out of hotel. Free time in the morning to explore depending on time of return flight. You will be collected for airport transfer, 4 hours prior to flight departure. End of services. Thank you.
